About the Author Contemporary artist Lucy Campbell embraces the rich well of Jungian psychology and mythology to inform her work as a painter. Her whimsical tableaus serve as a conduit for the viewer to dive deep into the landscapes of the soul.I paint the protection — and healing — of both the human subject and the animal,she says. My hope is to foster the reintegration of the childlike self with instinct and intuition and portray a celebration of the wild — within us and in the natural world. Campbell works from her home in Scotland, where she is surrounded by lush hills and forests that are home to wild creatures such as owls, foxes, and blackbirds.
